Hello, welcome to Top Shelf Hospitality Solutions. So glad you’re here.

My passion started over two decades ago in high school while working in a full service hotel in Brandon, MB. I quickly became hooked in the hospitality and customer service field, enjoying the fast pace, hands on physical tasks, team work, and ever changing environment.

 

Over the last 20 years, I have been very fortunate with all the opportunities to learn and grow with some great companies and organizations including: private and corporate owned hotels (Genesis Hospitality, Canad Inns, Choice Brand Hotels), multi-purpose facility (Keystone Centre) and Atria Senior Living Canada. These opportunities have provided me with skills in food preparation, food and beverage management, banquets and catering up to 1,600 guests, General Manager of full and limited service hotels, and Executive Director of 119 suite full service senior home. These experiences have not only allowed me the abilities to effectively manage multi-million dollar operations, but also oversee numerous renovation projects, and the reestablishing of hotel and food service departments. 

Much of my success has been in having and building the right individuals on my teams, by coaching, and having everyone on the same page for results and goals. With success there are difficulties and learning opportunities, as with anyone, I have also had this through my career which has assisted me to remain humble, handle complex situations, and has made me a stronger leader to help others. Just a few notable accomplishments that attest to my skills and abilities are, obtaining a certificate as Food and Beverage Executive offered through the American Hotel Association, and obtaining most improved “LTR” Hotel award under my leadership and my team’s efforts from Choice Hotels Canada.

Top Shelf Hospitality Solutions was created with my desire to help and lead in the hospitality field. I see many challenges facing our industry today, such as; rising labor and operational costs, finding and retaining quality staff and investing in their training, adapting to the needs of our customers, staying competitive to industry standards and improving service to ensure your customers are happy and return for years to come.
